Meister Eckhart says, “Apprehend God in all things, for God is in all things. Every single creature is full of God and is a book about God. Every creature is a word of God. If I spend enough time with the tiniest creature, even a caterpillar, I would never have to prepare a sermon. So full of God is every creature.”

Ask God to reveal Himself to you through the creation you are contemplating. What does God reveal to you about creation? About yourself? About God? About God’s love?

Return to that reality of creation a number of times during the week, letting it reveal itself to you and revealing yourself to you.

It is very important to review your prayer each time you pray using this method.

What in creation attracted me? What am I noticing about it TODAY?

What is this reality of creation revealing to me about itself, myself, my life and God?

How did I feel as I contemplated?

What was God’s presence like?
